Eating Out and a Healthy Diet

One of the excuses that I hear the most is, “I can’t stick to a healthy diet because I’m on the road a lot”. This would almost have been a valid excuse years ago, but now there’s a wide array of healthy choices at fast food restaurants.

As I was running errands today I got really hungry and knew I wasn’t going to be able to get home any time soon. I decided to stop and get a bite to eat before continuing with my errands. As I looked up at the menu I wondered if anything would fit the Fat X diet guidelines. I found something that was perfect. They offered something called a taco salad. It was basically a salad in a big bowl like taco shell. It contained lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced and marinated zucchini, cucumber, and some avocado. Finally they topped it with steak strips, but you could choose chicken instead. This is what I ordered, but it reminded me that if you think before you eat, you can always make a healthier choice
