Top 5 Summer Foods For A Better Body

Summer Fat Burning Foods Better Body
Summer is here, and luckily, there are plenty of foods you can add to your diet that will help you get closer to having your best Summer body yet!  These foods are a healthy addition to your diet all year round, but they're in season during the Summer months and usually, foods tend to taste a lot better when they're in season. If you haven't done so already, add them to your diet and start charging full speed towards better health, fitness, and achieving your fat burning goals.

Here are the Top 5 Summer Foods for A Better Body

Melon - This fruit is low in calories, yet high in vitamin  A and vitamin C.  It's also packed with the antioxidant lycopene.  It's perfect to include in your pre workout snack because it's also high on potassium, over 400 mg in just one cup!

Cucumber - Many people confuse this food with a vegetable, but it's actually a fruit. It's low in calories and a great source of B vitamins.  B vitamins are required for energy production and they help keep stress levels down.  Cucumbers can be used in all kinds of dishes, or alone as a snack.  They're refreshing and can help keep you hydrated since cucumbers are 95% water.

One of my favorite late evening snacks is sliced cucumber with lemon and salt.

Green Beans (String Beans) - This vegetable is an excellent source of nutrition without a lot of calories.  They're high in fiber and very low in overall carbohydrates.  Green beans are a favorite of mine in Fat X Approved dinner meals.

Apricot- Another Summer season fruit that's low in calories and high in Vitamin A. It's also a good source of Vitamin C and E.  It works well pre workout because of it's high potassium content. To round it off, it contains a good amount of fiber.

Watermelon - If you have trouble overeating, this fruit is a perfect snack. It's very low in calories and just like cucumber, watermelon is high in water content.  You'll satisfy your hunger and sweet tooth without adding too many calories.  Watermelon is also high in the antioxidant lycopene.

These foods are all high in nutrients and low in calories.  When I talk to people about diet, my main focus isn't taking things out, but adding things in.  My philosophy is that if you add in the right foods, you won't have a lot of room, and or need for the bad or junk foods.

Also, I'm a big believer in fueling your body properly.  Fueling your body properly will help you get the best out of each and every workout.  Remember this, the best way to look fit and healthy, is to actually be fit and healthy, and that requires good nutrition, and good workouts.
