My Top Fat Burning Snack
My favorite fat burning snack was something I learned to make and eat as a kid. When I was in 5th grade someone came to our school to talk to us about health and healthy eating. At that age, as soon as she started to speak, my mind went blank and all I really heard was blah blah blah. But there was one thing that caught my attention.
She started talking about healthy snacks that we could make ourselves as kids. One of them was peanut butter and celery sticks.
The other was peanut butter and apple slices.
I wasn't too interested in the celery, but when I tried the apple slices and peanut butter I was pleasantly surprised as to how good it actually tasted. When the novelty wore off I went back to snacking on chips and candy bars for the next few years, getting chubby along the way.
As I started getting serious about fitness and healthy eating, one of my main objectives was to be able to eat healthy, without hating what I ate. I remembered the celery and peanut butter, and added it to my diet as a snack.
When I did the original Fat X Project it became my go to meal/snack in the evenings, and as you can see in the results, it really paid off. There's a couple of reasons why this snack will help you shed the fat.
One, celery is extremely low in calories but high in fiber. Some experts even claim it takes more calories to eat and digest celery than the calories it contains.
Two, peanut butter contains mostly fat and protein. The fat is considered a good fat and when you consume mostly protein and fat towards the end of your day, your body will switch to using fat as an energy source and therefore burn fat while you sleep. It will continue to use fat as fuel until you wake up and eat breakfast.
