Can I lose 20 lbs by Summer? Q&A of The Week

Every week I answer a question or questions that are sent in to me regarding fat burning, weight loss, diet, fitness and or the Fat X Program (FX12). Today's question was emailed in and is in regards to losing a specific amount of weight.

Hi Coach,
I just started reading Fat X 101 and I'm motivated to start the FX 12 and lose some unwanted weight. Do you think I can lose 20 lbs if I go through the program twice before Summer officially begins? I currently weight 180 lbs and Im 5'5".

As far as weight is concerned, there are many factors that can contribute to total body weight, hydration levels, lean body tissue (muscle), and fat. Therefore, I normally don't judge success by total body weight, but I judge it by body composition, fat loss, and a reduction of belly fat. It is possible for you to lose 20 lbs, but you should be more focused on losing weight from body fat, which is what ultimately give you a better figure, a more toned and fit looking body/physique.
