My Secret to Losing Fat Part 1 - The Truth

Have body fat you want to lose?  I’m often asked what my fat burning secret is.  If you want to know, keep reading. But, understand this, I’m not going to sugar coat anything. 

Put the children to bed because in this post, I’m going to keep it real and raw! 

Some of you will appreciate that, some of you will run and hide. But at the end of the day, this is going to be real talk, it's necessary and I'm writing this because I care about you.  Yes...YOU!

Secret #1 - Tell Yourself the Fucking Truth

The truth can hurt, but use that pain to fuel your motivation.  What do I mean?  Well, take a good look in the mirror.  See yourself for who you’ve been.  Lazy?  Inactive?  A slave to simple pleasures?  

It’s OK to say yes.  Most of us, at least at one time or another have said yes to one or all three of those questions.  I have.  Admitting it does hurt and it’s uncomfortable.  

Personally, I’ve used that pain as fuel to fire up a flame inside me that powers me to get up off of my ass and start doing the things I know need to be done!

I’ve been slacking on writing/posting fat burning tips, tricks, and workouts here at Fat X 101.  Guess what fired me up to write this?  Yup!  I looked in the mirror and was honest with myself.  

See, the last few months I convinced myself that I was too busy and didn’t have time, but I had time to watch Youtube videos.  I had time to scroll through social media.  I had time to go craft beer tasting.  The truth was, it wasn’t a time issue, it was just me not being motivated and being a slave to simple pleasures. It was also me being selfish.  

Why selfish? Well, my dad once told me that if you have something positive to share and you don’t do it, you’re being selfish.  I’ve been selfish! 

I’ve been working on myself and not sharing some of the new workouts, tips, diet tricks and mental hacks with Fat X 101 readers, fans and supporters.  While I do own and operate a private fitness training business and have great clients, Fat X 101 readers and supporters put me on the map!  

Anyway, I’m committing myself to helping you all more this year.  The fire has been lit and Beast Mode is ON!!! 

So how does this apply to you and your fat loss journey? Well, If you want to lose fat and get fitter than you’ve ever been this year,  tell yourself the fucking truth! No excuses! 

Look in the mirror and ask yourself why you haven’t been exercising, eating right and following a healthier life path.  

Then, use the pain of the truth to fuel a flame inside you that powers you to get up off of your ass and start doing the things you know need to be done!

In part two I’ll share how I lost 10 lbs during the holidays.
