Simple Fat Burning Mind Hack to Improve Results

What if I told you that a 6 letter word is the powerful mind hack you need to blast through a fat loss and or fitness plateau?  Would you believe me?  Well, probably not.  Everyone and their mom is claiming to have fitness secrets that will improve results.  The truth is, this "mind hack" is not really a secret. It's a very well researched and proven method that can help you achieve your fat burning, fitness, and for that matter, many other goals in your life.  

In this post I’ll go over that simple 6 letter word.

The word is CHANGE.  

If you’re not finding success, if you’ve hit a plateau, if you’re just bored, you need change!  

Change your mindset.  Change your environment.  Change the people around you.  Change these things and you’ll change your results. Let’s talk about mindset.  

Your mind powers everything.  Negative thoughts turn into negative actions.  Negative actions turn into negative results. And, vice versa.  

Positive thoughts turn into positive actions.  Positive actions turn into positive results. It’s that simple! I’ve been training people for over 15 years and those that get the best results always have a positive mindset and or attitude.  They walk in my studio with a pep in their step and ready to take action.  They look forward to the workouts and they’re willing to put in 100% effort because they know that hard work done right will pay off.   

Take an audit of your mindset.  Has it been negative?  

If so, it’s time to change it.  Start thinking positively.  Look forward to doing things. Be happy to be alive.  Be thankful for everything you have. Expect nothing, appreciate everything. Don’t think of exercise as a task, look at it as part of a tough but beautiful journey that will lead you to better health, happiness and an overall better life. 

It might sound silly, but,  if and when I find myself drifting into negativity, I walk over to a mirror and remind myself of all my blessings.  I remind myself of the things I’ve survived, the things I’ve gone through, and most of all, I remind myself that I survived it all! 

Try it.  It’s a great way to snap out of a negative mindset.  TRY IT! It fucking works!!! 

If you’ve hit a fitness, fat loss, or life plateau, another thing you should change is your environment.  Sometimes that means changing your gym. Professional athletes do this all the time.  Especially MMA fighters. It’s no secret, it’s just that sometimes changing gyms can be frowned upon.  But, at the end of the day, you have to do what’s best for you.  

Think of yourself as an athlete, and your fitness goal as the championship.  Sometimes you’ll need to  put yourself in a new environment to help you get that championship.  

Lastly, let’s talk about people.  In Spanish, there’s an old saying: "Dime con quién andas, y te diré quién eres". It roughly translates to “tell me who you’re with, and I’ll tell you who you are".

If you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people.  If you want to find success in your fitness journey, surround yourself with those that have similar goals, aspirations and mindset.  Sometimes you’ll have to seek those people out. 

 A few years ago I began to take my photography seriously.  So, on my personal Facebook page I would post things like “hey, I’m going to so and so place to take pictures if anyone wants to come along.”  One night, a photographer friend, Alex, met me at the Colorado Bridge in Pasadena.  

At the time, I barely knew how to use my Canon T3i.  Alex took his time and showed me a bunch of new settings and gave me some valuable tips on how to improve.  After that experience, I took every opportunity to tag along with other photographers on their shoots.  

I’m not expert by any means, but my photography definitely improved and I use those skills to take pictures for this website, my social media accounts, and I even started my photography portfolio site. 

All that to say this, surround yourself with successful people!  Surround yourself with people that know more than you do.  Your knowledge will increase, and soon, you will also find success.
