Fat Burning Breakfast Ideas

Clients that I personally put through the Fat X Program, as well as internet users using the program, tend to have a hard time with the fat burning diet because of the lack of breakfast ideas.  While the diet requires plenty of vegetables, I do understand that they are difficult to implement in a traditional breakfast. The good news is that I consider berries a good alternative, and I do believe they will help your fat burning/fat loss goals.

If you're following the Fat X Diet philosophy, it is not necessary that the food percentages are adhered to in every meal, so long as you make up for it in other meals.  So, with that out of the way, let's get to the fat burning breakfast ideas.

Fat Burning Breakfast Idea 1
(adjust quantities to your needs.)
2 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, 1 tomato, 1 slice of toast and 4 strawberries berries,

Directions:
Dice the tomato and put them in a pan sprayed with Pam. Cook over medium heat. Whip the eggs and egg whites in a bowl for a minute.  Pour the egg mixture over the eggs and scramble.

Once it's cooked just place it on a plate with the strawberries and the toast and you have an easy fat burning breakfast to get you day started.  It contains plenty of nutrients to feed your body and keep you metabolism boosted.

Fat Burning Breakfast Idea 2
(adjust quantities to your needs)
Low calorie yogurt, walnuts, blueberries, vanilla protein powder

Directions:
Crush the walnuts into small pieces.  Mix the walnuts into the yogurt.  Add the vanilla protein powder and continue mixing until the powder is completely mixed in.  Add the fresh blueberries.

This is one of my favorite fat burning meals as it is easy and fast. It contains plenty of healthy nutrients to fuel your body.  It also contains EFA's (essential fatty acids) that are critical for long term health and fat loss.

Starting a Fat Burning Project

My Fat X Project January 2011
On Monday I was able to get someone to agree to do another public Fat X Project.  For those of you new to Fat X 101, a Fat X Project is a run through the Fat X Program.  The Fat X Program is a 12 day fat burning workout and diet plan specifically designed to burn fat and get fit fast.  Every once in a while, I can convince someone to have me put up their results publicly, in exchange for private training/coaching through the workout program.

Why do I do this?  Well, I recognize that some people need and extra motivational push to help them get started on a healthy diet and workout program.  I've found that showing off the achievements of others on a workout and diet program can be a great motivational tool. So hopefully it will help you either get started on a healthy diet and workout program or continue through one.

I started this new Fat X Project on Monday, February 21st, so the last workout should be done on March 4th (hopefully). I'll post results soon after as well as more tips and tricks to help you get through the FX 12 diet and workout program.

If you would like to start your own project, download the workout manual/guide and follow along with the free fat burning workout videos.

FX Boot Camp Pasadena Fitness Test

In order to better help my FX Boot Camp Pasadena clients with their fat burning and fat loss goals, last year I implemented fitness testing during each of my three week boot camp sessions. These fitness tests are meant to keep clients motivated to improve their fitness level.  One of my mantras at boot camp is "fat loss follows fitness".  What I mean by this is that the more fit you get, the easier it is to burn fat (lose body fat).

My current FX Boot Camp Pasadena session started last Monday on Valentines day.  Due to that, I had a few of my FX'ers (FX Boot Camp clients) miss their first fitness test.  I had one of them request that I post it online so they can stay on track.  I thought it would be a good idea.

My Fat Burning Drink Recipe

There are a lot of fat burning drinks on the market.  Most of these so called fat burning drinks are nothing more than overly hyped ingredients mixed in with some actual proven fat burning (metabolism boosting) ingredients.  All the hype, usually equals an outrageous price on these drinks. While I have tried some of these fat burning drinks, I prefer to make my own.  It's cheaper, and I know exactly what's going to be in it.

I've gone over the benefits of green tea and caffeine before, so I won't go much into that here since I know you probably just want me to get to the recipe.  Most fat burning drinks contain these two ingredients in some form or another. Luckily for you, these ingredients aren't hard to come by.

When I'm doing the Fat X Workout Program or just want to get that extra energy or metabolism boost going, I make my own fat burning drink by mixing green tea with a cup of coffee.

Burn Fat Like A Man

When it comes to burning fat a.k.a losing fat so to achieve a toned athletic body, one of the common misconceptions is that it is easier for a man than it is for a woman.  In my experience with training clients, it is not easier for a man, it just happens that normally, men are more open and willing to do what it takes to burn fat, then women. Let's take a look at some of the things men do, that women can learn from to burn fat faster and easier.

The fastest, and also most effective long term strategy to burn fat, and to maintain that fat loss is to build lean body tissue (muscle).  The reason why men tend to have an easier time burning fat and keeping it off, is simply because they are more willing to do the things required to build and maintain muscle. Men are more willing to lift weights and use resistance training than women.  They also seem to be more willing to consume the amount of protein that it takes to build and maintain muscle. Again, in my experience, women tend to shy away form using weight training because of the fear that they will get "big and bulky".  Women also tend to have very low amounts of protein in they're diets.
