Just like my other bonus fat burning workout videos, this workout is a great stand alone full body workout that utilizes easy to learn exercises and that will help you lose fat, get fit and tone up with the Coach Rollie Method principles of effective, and efficient. You can add this workout in after you do the Fat X Program, or if you just want to give my style of training a try.
The fat burning Pasadena Workout begins with a great exercise I learned from black belt Jiu Jitsu trainer Joey Alvarado. It's a great way to get you core engaged and work those abs.
The second exercise, the Deck Squat, I also learned from Joey, and it's a great way to use your abs strength in a functional way. By functional I mean it's more than just for aesthetic purposes. This exercise is great for getting up from the floor, a skill that helps a lot in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) or any form grappling a.k.a wrestling.
The Iron Cross is an old school and almost forgotten full body exercise. There are many ways to do this exercise. I prefer the method shown in the video as I feel the range of motion will give you more bang for your buck.
To finish off the Pasadena Workout, I added in a Duck Walk Press, a.k.a Walking Lunge Press. This exercise is an excellent way to work your leg muscles while integrating the upper body. This is how your body functions in the real world and it's an effective and efficient way to train.
